History

Ram Industries Inc. was established in 1973 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan CANADA.

The business was originally founded on a need to meet increasing demand by growing manufacturers' within its regional area. Continuous growth has always been important to our organization. Fortunately, the diversity of cylinder uses and applications continues to give RAM many opportunities to stretch into diverse markets and more complex cylinder designs. To meet this demand, we have increased the size of our facility five times to add to our capacity and capabilities in cylinder manufacturing - with our most recent major building expansion in 2012. Head office and production operations continue at the Yorkton location today where a wide range of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders are engineered, built, assembled, tested and shipped to successful manufacturers across North America.

RAM's extensive experience in hydraulic cylinders offers clients the combined expertise of its employees, equipment, and facilities to provide customized solutions for their applications. The Company works directly with engineers, business owners, procurement teams, project managers, and other equipment specialists who require a custom approach to their cylinder specifications – in terms of fit, function, and overall performance. Our team liaises closely with each customer to engineer and produce cylinders for machinery, equipment or projects that incorporate hydraulic systems. In addition to cylinder design, we also have vast experience working with many industries and their unique needs – including providing machined products and cylinders for clients in sectors such as construction, oil & gas, transportation, waste management, marine, material handling, mining, industrial equipment, forestry, and many other diverse applications.

RAM continues to expand its capabilities and knowledge necessary to serve the demands of its clientele. The Company has an active capital equipment acquisition program and ERP scheduling system that enables us to handle a high mix of cylinder product orders and increased volume, while maintaining cost and quality standards expected by our Customers. In addition to cylinders, RAM's extensive line up of CNC machining equipment gives OEM Customers a reliable source of custom machined components.

Since December 2000, Ram Industries Inc. has maintained an ISO 9001 Certification for both hydraulic cylinder manufacturing and custom precision machining. The Ram Quality System is dedicated to excellence in meeting the requirements of cylinder Customers. This dedication has helped the organization develop many long term Customer relationships across North America.
